Welcome to BibleNow! This Privacy Policy explains how we handle user data when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your data is secure. By downloading and using BibleNow!, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.

1. No Personal Data Collection

BibleNow! does not collect personal information, usage data, or location data from users. You can use our app without providing any personal information. However, please note:

The name or alias you input, along with any settings you configure, are stored locally on your device.
This information is not transmitted to or shared with any servers or third parties.
Notes and highlights you create are also stored locally on your device only.

2. Use of Local Data

The name or alias and settings you input are stored only locally on your device and are used solely to enhance your experience within BibleNow!. We do not have access to or control over this locally stored data.

3. Device Permissions

BibleNow! may request the following device permissions to support specific features. All permissions are optional — if you decline, the corresponding feature will be unavailable, but the rest of the app will continue to function normally.

Camera — requested only when you choose to take a photo to insert into a Bible note. Photos captured via the camera are saved locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers or shared with any third party.
Photo Library / Gallery — requested only when you choose to insert an existing image from your photo library into a Bible note. Selected images are copied to local app storage on your device and are never transmitted to our servers or shared with any third party.

Images inserted into notes are stored in a dedicated folder within the app's local storage on your device. They are not backed up to any cloud service by BibleNow! itself.

4. Bible Version Downloads

BibleNow! allows you to download additional Bible versions from our secure content delivery network (CDN). During a download:

A time-limited, cryptographically signed request is sent to our CDN to retrieve the Bible version file.
The file is delivered in an encrypted format and is decrypted locally on your device after download.
No personally identifiable information is included in the download request.
Download requests may include standard network metadata such as your IP address, which is handled by our CDN provider and not stored by Betah Coding.

Bible version files can only be downloaded through the official BibleNow! app to protect the integrity and licensing of the content.

5. Future Updates

We are committed to continually improving BibleNow!. As the app evolves, there may be changes in our data collection practices. If we decide to start collecting, storing, or processing user data, we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly. We will notify you through an in-app notification, and you will be asked for your consent before any data collection begins.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy. Any changes will be communicated through the app, and the updated policy will be effective immediately upon posting. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about our privacy practices.
